James:
What u stated about the bible being written with the intention to keep under control the tribes. It's a too simple excuse to justify the fact that some people don't believe in God. God didn't create a sinner. God created a free individual that have the freedom to choose among several things. In a certain point the Man (all the human race in general) chose to sin. there was a temptation which is the cause, then the Man chose to accept the temptation, and therefore the Man commited a sin (in general), and this is the consequence. I totally agree with you with regard what you posted next. We are all connected with all the living forms in the universe. |

We weren't created "sinners".
We were created "free". We humans have free will. Which means not even God can force us to do something we do not wish to do. Humans have the power to create fantasy worlds that we, ourselves, believe. Humans have the power to forcibly ignore Truth itself. We can deafen ourselves to our own soul as it screams at our cruelties. We can commit murder, rape, even suicide- and we can convince ourselves it's holy. Our freedom is so powerful that it can defy Nature, Evolution, God, our own self interests, and all sensibility. One must, of course wonder WHY we're created to have that kind of power within us. It wasn't so that we would be sinners- although that was certainly an obvious side effect. But what we're meant for is obvously important. |

Poet, your words seem almost a proclamation that humans are in someway
superier to any other living crature. Is this what you believe? That God the creator of the universe holds preferences with regards to each of It's creations, putting some above the others? Personally I would find that difficult to believe, because, when I look around this teeney tiney little speck within the vastness of the universe, what I see is planet whose very existence could not exist without everything in nature, save one thing - humans. This universe would, could continue without us. So what, in that, makes us superior to every other creation? |
