Topic: Help Me To Understand The Israeli - Gaza Issue! | |
---|---|
To whom it may concern:
I'm the dark as to why this is going on between these two. Maybe I haven't been following this part of the news, but as it has escalated...makes me wonder what the real issue is. Is this one being a bully towards the other, just because they can? Or for the sake of good for all, or another selfish action for their own sake? If someone could enlighten me on the issues, of why or why not...I would appreciate it. Thanks, and all have a great day. |

this is a link to the israeli perspective on the general arab-israeli conflict http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/myths/mftoc.html A very biased link I might add! Read them all then decide for your self. If you'll notice the links I use are Independent while the Jewish library was created out of an effort to counter the infuriation of the rest of the world. As a matter of fact it is sponsored by the Israeli Gov! |

Read them all then decide for your self. If you'll notice the links I use are Independent while the Jewish library was created out of an effort to counter the infuriation of the rest of the world. As a matter of fact it is sponsored by the Israeli Gov! What Fanta? You don't like well documented and researched articles that differ from your own extremely biased viewpoints? On the current Gaza conflict: Hamas has been firing thousands of missiles into Israel over the last few years despite having a peace treaty which committed them to preventing missile attacks after the Israelis ended the occupation in Gaza a couple years ago. Hamas smuggled long range Katushya rockets (Grads) and dug in and fortified military positions rather than working on improving daily life and infrastructure for the Gazans. When Hamas refused to extend the cease-fire in December but instead escalated missile attacks, the Israelis had no other choice but to respond militarily which they have been doing very effectively and with remarkably low collateral civilian casualties given the use of Gazan citizens as human shields by Hamas. see for example: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/01/AR2009010101780.html |
