"How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?"
why would we wonder about a woodchuck chucking wood, if a wood chuck can't chuck wood? |

There is a reason the word "wood" is in the name "wood chuck".

If a chicken and a half laid an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long would it take for a monkey with a wooden leg to kick the seeds out of a pickle?
About as long as it would take for a woodpecker with a wooden beak to shingle a chithouse roof with a potato peeler. So there. |

"How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?" why would we wonder about a woodchuck chucking wood, if a wood chuck can't chuck wood? Simple IF, a woodchuck COULD chuck wood, he would chuck all the wood a woodchuck would chuck IF a woodchuck COULD chuck wood. And we wonder it because not too much rhymes with groundhogs. Woodchucks are like ground hogs. |

Why couldn't a woodchuck chuck wood? He's got claws and certainly strong enough.
