will you be eating any black-eyed-peas today? (some people have this tradition; of eating them on New Years Day, for luck all year long.) Do you?-----yes, we do put bacon drippings in the peas, and cook fresh cornbread. They go good with a nice steak & green tossed salad.

Pork and Sauerkraut is our tradition here in my part of Ohio. I had the pork cooking in the crockpot since 5 am and then made a little bbq for it. We had mashed tators, corn and the Kraut with it.
