I used to have two friends who I knew I could trust to set me up with people who would be OK. That's actually how I met about 90% of the girls I was ever involved with. The real advantage is that you get a built-in "screening system" when you go through a friend -- something you'll never have on a dating site, unfortunately.

I would NEVER go on a blind date. Weather it goes well or badly you always have a third wheel trying to manipulate the situation. It is also a really good way to ruin a friendship. There is no good way to tell someone they hooked you up with a turkey.

I am not against having friends give me feed back about people but the choice has to still rest with me. I have seen people purposelly sabotage relationships but if my friends give me a heads up about someone I tend to at least listen. If a guy is interesting I will make an opportunity to meet them. Just don't set me up with someone and take my choice out of it.

I kind of wonder if someone is such a great kisser how do they know? I don't want anyone of my friends sloppy seconds. I sure don't need them telling me about how they have been intimate with someone who they are telling me about. That is just kind of gross.
