being a woman, i would hope if i was married another woman would be just as considerate

Sometimes you may believe someone is not married or is divorced. Or you may believe that he is not living with someone or in an exclusive relationship with another (including NO cyber or phone sex). Or, perhaps you may believe that he is only dating you - and not one - or fifty others a year.

But you just don't know. Not really. Do you.

Ask around, keep your ears and eyes open. Don't hide behind denial or minimize.

If he claims he is divorced, asked to see the decree. Separated? Then, he won't mind giving you his full legal name and current address/land-line phone, where YOU can call at any time - or visit. He might not mind giving you his work address or phone, either. Hell, he will introduce you to all his friends and family and you won't get the impression from them that you are "one of many".
