Authorities: Dog Finds Baby's Body In Woods

MILTON, Fla. -- Authorities say a newborn baby's body was found by a dog in a wooded area in north Florida.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office says a person called 911 on Monday stating the family dog had found what appeared to be an infant. Authorities say the dog placed the body near the wood line at the homeowner's property.

When deputies arrived they confirmed it was a newborn infant's body.

Authorities say they are looking for anyone who can help identify the baby or the mother.

Authorities wouldn't immediately give any information on how long the body appeared to have been in the woods.

An autopsy will also be conducted.

If and when they find the mother she should get the maximum punishment allowed! With all of todays laws where mothers can just drop the baby off at a hospital and not get in trouble its bull**** that this is still happening.

The ignorance, indifference and cruelty of humans never ceases to amaze me....
