Depends on "the group". I usually do my own thing and often I run against groups or questions groups, especially those with "mob attitudes". Just because there is a group doesn't mean they are "right". If it's to follow to where the heck a stupid seminar in a multi-roomed multi-storied hotel, I ask the group and follow, if management is unavailable!!!

Do you take the initiative in a group,or wait for others? I think it depends on the dynamics going on in the group. Usually I am not shy nor am I a wall flower I like to circulate and mingle.

for me, it's more like "If ya can't run with the big dogs stay under the porch" I am an instigator more than an initiator, I think
