I have a woman who I call mom ....but my parents are dead. So I guess I am closer to mom. They passed when I was little, never knew them. 
For me, I am close to both my mom and dad. My mom is my best friend. She always calls to check up on me. My dad and I are hanging buddies...we have lunch together and talk about movies and stuff. |

I'm closer to my mom. Dad was making a living for his family is all I can think of, but I find myself being more like my dad as I get older

My dad is dead and my mom is a cold-hearted drunk...so, I'd have to say my dad.

Neither. my mom figured she put in her time and changed the lock one day while I was at work, and my dad left when he found out my mother was pregnant with me... I met him when I was 19, tried to have a relationship, but he wasn't really interested. oh well, I'm a better person without either of them. My mother was verbally abusive and it took alot of therapy (after I was not living with her) to know and appreciate that I am a good person who is capable of being loved... in a nutshell, I am closest to my best friend's mom!

neither....given I never met either one of them! yes..i met my ma at 17 and was betrayd by my dad since birth....i understand... stuff hapns.

I used to be daddy's girl growing up, but now he decided that my step monster is the only person he wants in his life. Now I have a better relationship with my mom than I ever had growing up. Ever since I moved out on my own and had my son, her and I seem to be alot closer.

I would have to say my dad...He was the kindest,sweetest,intelligent,funniest man I've yet to meet...He was everything that represents the best in life...

My kids are all I have now You have no idea how much it sucks/hurts to not be able to be with my dad. I have tried everything I can possibly think of to get back into his life. But she is such a witch and he agrees with her no matter what anyone says. There is only so much I can try to do and I have decided to just give up. |

I don't remember my dad, he died when I was 14 months old, so mom wins. May she rest in peace.
