I thought I had coined a new word until I found it on the web. I wonder if anyone have felt like they were coming out of the closet with being a Christian.
![]() Act 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. |

I believe there are many areas of society where one can feel that. |

I haven't been in the "closet" exactly... But I am a little ashamed of myself for not speaking out against those who'd trample my convictions. I've decided that if/when it happens again, I'm going to be prepared through more diligent Bible study.
![]() This "apologetics" term was shared with me recently and I'm finding it VERY interesting, concerning my ability to defend my faith. |

I noticed that C.S. Lewis was on that page, Allen. I loved reading John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. C. S. Lewis wrote a book inspired by The Pilgrim's Progress called The Pilgrim's Regress, in which a character named John follows a vision to escape from The Landlord, a less friendly version of The Owner in Pilgrim's Regress. It is an allegory of C. S. Lewis' own journey from a religious childhood to a pagan adulthood in which he rediscovers his Christian God.

You may like this page, Allen. It is an audio of John Bunyan's book and starts with his apology for writing Pilgrim's Progress.

The Bible talks about putting one's light on a candlestick for all to see, intead of putting it under a bushel basket.
************************** Mathew Chapter 5:14-16 v14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. v15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. v16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. |
