which is the best one:
a straight out compliment or something slick like "hey, have i seen you before?" |
Whichever is most sincere. If you do think you know them from somewhere it's fine to inquire, but if it's just a line, it's lame, & usually obvious.

Most of the guys that write me compliment me. For me, I send a greeting and usually state something that was on their profile just to get the conversation started.

which is the best one: a straight out compliment or something slick like "hey, have i seen you before?" Either a straight out compliment about their appearance, their car, whatever, or a comment about the present weather or something trivial will get the ball rolling if they are a friendly sort. Dirty looks are free and in abundance, so be ready for rejection if they take it the wrong way. |

As long as the compliment is sincere, then that is better, but most women will know if it's just something off the top of your head.
