Unfortunately, some people don't know what honesty is. But all in all, most profiles are pretty accurate and the info is good

it went out the window with decency and politeness

Gee beats the hell out of me. But I would say 90% of all the people I have met off line are who they say they are and I don't think I have disappointed anyone before. One of the things that will seperate the wheat from the chaff before you meet webcam....What I have done is talk on the phone at the same time webcamming that way I know I am seeing the real McCoy... Second thought maybe that is who they want to be or who they think they are deep down. One thing I have learned is not to let it bother me. |

I don't know and I don't know what the point would be. I mean, you're going to meet face to face at some point and the truth will be out, right?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am always honest What it says on my profile is what I am

I think it's sad. To overtly lie that way is deception but the worst part is that when they portray themselves as different from the reality they are doing the worst harm to themselves. I guess it's part of the downside of meeting folks through this medium.
As the one being decieved, you may have wasted a degree of time and energy but the deciever is wasting any potential they could have had. |

I usually assume, especially when it's TG2BT, it's fake. Who cares? I'm not planning on meeting them. Maybe they're better fake people than they are real.

Yep there some folks who have a different vision of themselves. That is how come it is good to send e-mails on here back and forth before moving to another site.
If they want to jump immediately to another site...that is a big red flag to me. |

I also want to add to this one thing I do is read what people write along with what their profile says, instant messenger is also great since they don't have time to think of a response so what you see is what you get.
Again I also think the webcamming is a great idea. I actually pretty much demand a webcam session before a first meet I print off a picture from the webcam session and that had better be who shows up for the meet. |

If they want to jump immediately to another site...that is a big red flag to me. Me too. I never respond to an email that just sends me their other email address or IM info. |

why is it that both men and women post erroneous information in their profiles? I have seen evrything from the overweight to the famous younger sister picture . what ever happened to honesty? You know what bugs me? So many men seem to assume that everything someone writes in a profile is not true. Some guys tell me they have to check up on what I've written in my profile, by asking again, to see if it's actually true. Though, perhaps they're just trying to pretend they actually read it when they didn't? |

Okay, Rains, you convinced me to turn IM on. Now if my computer crashes...it is your fault. |

I tend to like a lot of different stuff. One guy recently told me that he thought my profile was fake. He never did say why, though. |

Quite the opposite it looks very genuine to me. |

Hey if you see unread deleted don't be disappointed, some users (.01%) get 100 new emails a day if they have a great picture up. People like that don't have time to read your message even if they wanted to.
