I think Bad_girl was right. Since they cared enough to spend the money the personmay just be concerned about your health.
you may have made a comment about getting in shape one time and that stuck in their head. So maybe they thought you would really enjoy the membership. |

Quite frankly, it looks like you're past the "subtle and nice" stage... you need to do something or you're gonna have serious issues, sometimes blunt is the only way to get through.

well, maybe, but its less bad than diet pills... they might just think you would benefit health-wise... hope it was family though, nobody else should ever cross that line

If for christmas someone gave you a free 3 month gym membership, does that imply that you are fat?? Dang, I'd take that in a minute! Great gift. So what if it implies you're fat: great place to meet folks and get healthier. |

I would be thrilled if someone got me a gift like that! I have wanted to go back to the gym for awhile now, but finances haven't allowed it. I'd go buy some workout clothes and get my big behind back into shape.

Gyms aren't only for overweight people. Everyone needs to work out.
My friend gave me certificates for two yoga classes. I didn't think she was implying that I am inflexible. She just loves me, is all. |

She just loves me, is all. And apparently, she's trying to control the way you look or feel. I'm all for fitness and gyms, but on my terms - no one else's. She sounds a little "needy" if you ask me.... |

Dude, a ticket to fat camp might be rude.
If these are your pix, you're living dangerously. You're either a natural "endomorph" (as I am) or you have emotional issues causing you to replace other pleasures with food. Either way, you can deal with it - first and foremost is, "Don't 'feel' any guilt about it." Even if the intent was . . . whatever. I think we'd agree you need to dump some ballast and not for anyone other than yourself! You don't have to be "slim and trim" but it's kinda crazy/stupid to not be healthier. Big and heavy can still be ungodly healthy, but it takes a lot of commitment. |

Well you are fat. I wouldn't take your friends well meaning personally though. Why soft sell yourself. If you truly enjoyed being fat their gift wouldn't have bothered you so. Love yourself
