Andy, I agree that the best meditation is to get far away from people and into nature
Thats true. Thats also supposed to be a distinctive trait of Taurus. They need to isolate themselves in a secluded place or deep in nature and away from other humans in order to think. Are you a Taurus by chance Andy? Actually I am a LEO. By the Chinese astrology I am a snake and my element is wood. Strangely I am a fire sign but I LOVE diving and being around water. In many ways I do not conform to expected traits of a fire sign. I do have a passionate and volital temper. I have spent years tempering it down. It still pokes out now and then. I am not a true isolationist but for me to work I need to work alone usually. I do work very well in teams but I have to have clear leadership or else I wind up taking over. I just do not like living in crowded conditions and have issues with weakness from myself and others. I think those are fire sign traits as well. |

I know this is a tangent but I have had numerological reading s done more than once. Every single last time I did it including using a OLD software I have every reading comes to the same conclusion. I am a DEEP person. I have a very strong insight and that I also tend to try to see the whole picture. Where many are comfortable with reaching for a certain level of understanding I try to hit the bottom of the ocean as one woman who did my birth date said of me. these things were the ones common to all readings done on me. I was born on a Friday the 13th for what that is worth. I know in all reality F 13 does not REALLY mean anything but it is a personal joke for me that a Black Cat crossed my path before I popped out of my mother! Such has been the dysfunction of my life. If anything numerology if fun to me and in the hands of a competent person they can make some pretty spot on observations about a person. Granted it is not a "Science" but then again viewing everything though empirical eyes leads to scientific blindness! |

So what would others consider what I am more like based on my information so far? Shaman, medicine man, priest? I am no wizard by ANY stretch of the imagination. Your choice of words to describe yourself should be your own. And that includes the definitions for those words. I personally believe that every human being is a wizard. Many just don't know it. Of course that could be argued based on what we agree on in terms of semantics for that word. I use words in my own way, and simply try to explain what I mean by them when the need arises. Spiritually I would accept any of the following labels to describe myself. Zen Buddhist Witchy Shaman Mystic Alchemist Geek Moon Goddess Lover Romantic Pantheistic Wizard Animistic Crystal Spiritualist Herbal Psychic Healer Cerebral Celibate Monk Long-winded Mingle Poster Andragonistic Sagacious Mentor Genuinely Geeky Guru Wand Lover Adamant Athame Worshiper Chakra Center Creator Lover of Lucid Dreams Right-Brain Amature Artist Left-Brain Cerebral Scientist Syncopated Shamanic Drummer Pragmatic Paranormal Pagan Pathological Procrastinator (ok, I'm working on trying to become less eligible for that last lable) |

I dont think one should ever underestimate the power of the
Left-Brain Cerebral Scientist

Wow, James....that's quite a list.

Could you not just become a
Pathological Procrastinator
of a Long-winded Mingle Poster
??????? |

Well, it would seem that James has some competition now for "long winded mingle poster" in Andy.

I like the way James writes though. He does that one sentence, space, one sentence space so they are very easy on the eyes. I wear glasses for the computer so....I appreciate that whether he does it on purpose or not.

As a courtesy people should AT LEAST break things down into paragraphs that separate thoughts. Sometimes people write in what appears to be a "stream of consciousness" with no punctuation. What the? Thats too hard for me to follow. |

Well, it would seem that James has some competition now for "long winded mingle poster" in Andy. Great minds think alike! I guess it is a show of the depth of Character we possess. One liner responses and bad grammar are not impressive. Thank the Computer god Digitus for spell checker! James has proven to be very insightful. Thank you! The rest of you have been making this a very positive and enlightening experience and to you I offer thanks as well! I just try to explain myself when I post. If I can do it in one sentence do but sometimes it takes more than a hand full of words to express myself. I wish I could figure out how to DL images from my computer and not from the internet! Still learning. Then again life is one long lesson. Death is the final. Past this life is a new lesson and new tests! It is good to share this walk in the garden with all of you!!!!!!! |

Some of the most thought provoking responses I have read on this forum have been one (or a few) lines. Primarily because they dont bury you with a long, complicated exegesis explaining why you should accept something as either being reliable or not so reliable.
Instead they are inviting you to further investigate. |

Actually I think I do got to agree with that thinking.
Sometimes it helps to have more info. Other times it can be overwhelming. Still, it is all in good fun both ways is it not? |

I especially like the instant spell checker in Word. I have one inbuilt in my browser, and he is American Every time I write the good English colour, he kicks me in my butt and says: "Hey, we Americans have to be careful, no waste of letters here, it's color." |
