Didn't make much sense... silly church it was a little more devious than that. they picked dec 25 to coralate with pagan festival of the tima of the solstice to help convert pagans. using this time would remove the fear of the loss of the celabration set up in the pagan religion making it easier to convert them. the placement of the star the wise men followed made it late spring early summer as the actual time of the birth of christ but hey what do i know |

Yeah, Christmas has a way to bring me down. I only wish I would have spent more time enjoying it as a little kid, you know? That's what it's designed for anyways! Oh well, what can you do? Nah!!! Christmas is for grownups in their second childhood to have fun. And I am having a blast. I can decorate the tree and the house and anything I choose or not, bake and eat goodies or not, buy gifts and keep them or give them as I please. To who I please. The secret to having a great Christmas is spending it with people you like, doing what you like, and enjoying the traditions you enjoy. Even if it isn't traditional. |
