I believe the internet has drastically changed the dynamics of the dating scene. Meeting someone in a grocery store, asking for a number, calling them with butterflies in your stomach, and then finally asking them out is a lot different then the whole "I read your profile lets chat" thing.
I think we meet and discard people so quickly now, with everyones info just hanging out there, that we have forgotten it should take time. |

It doesn't happen enough, thats one of the problems in the dating world. Its more just hooking up. Its weird how dating has changed so in just the past 15 years. I do miss the old days. Getting all excited for your date, wondering what to wear, getting the butterflies in your stomach, wondering whether or not if he is going to kiss u goodnight. Waiting for the return call the day after.... oh those were the days..

yeah...I wonder sometimes just how much the information super highway has actually done more to separate folks, rather than bring them together.
Before cell phones and the internet, your best chance of meeting people was getting off your butt and actually going out to meet people. Now, between the serial killers, axe murderers, date rapist and random everyday jerks, we all seem to be afraid to do more than perv the occasional profile or send an instant message. |

we have entered the world of hooking up lol, thats what dating has come to. I think chivalry is dead or at least in Arizona it is. It would be nice to meet a guy who isnt all about "hooking up"

What has happened to dating?DO people still go out on dates, where a man picks up a woman and takes her out? I think so......but in my age bracket we all have kids.....so my recent dates have consisted of things that look like The Partridge Family outings. We did manage to sneak out alone a couple weeks ago for some drinks and good conversation. |
