I tried it, once, in the late 1980s. It was made with black beans, I think. Or at least it was black, and tasted like a thick black bean dip. Expensive, but I didn't buy it. Someone else did. Delicious, too! It's like Pringles in that you can't stop eating it, easily.

bubbles which compress under pressure from your tongue or teeth then suddenly burst releasing a salty liquid. a unique sensation and taste. the size, texture and flavor varies with the species of fish.
the flavor is delicate so serve simply with complimentary light flavors and textures. an excellent wat to serve is with unsalted crackers like melba toast or homemade toast with cream cheese, sour cream, marscapone, creme fraiche or any other mild cheese. goes great with fresh light tasting sashimi, oysters or shrimp or lobster or scallops or clams and rice and mild drinks like white wine, saki, brandy, cognac, or tequila, or the traditional chilled vodka and champagne. yum! make your own creme fraiche...it's the greatest stuff!! use it to make a dinner sauce or dessert sauce and you will amaze yourself and your guest. you will probably have great sex too. http://video.about.com/gourmetfood/How-to-Make-Creme-Fraiche.htm |
