Topic: City Girl | |

Two hearts longing to touch,
to reach out to each other across the great expanse of miles that separate them. A longing to hold each other. Hearts beating together in rhythme. Longing to bridge this distance between them. She in a city bright lighted, the City of Angels. Glitter and Glamour surround her. She quietly walks in beat to the sounds of what has become for her a way of life, city life. And he finds comfort among the tall peaked mountains. He walks where eagles fly, and stands looking out at the natural beauty, awed and inspired. Yet his heart longs for the only beauty he wants to lay his eyes upon; His City Girl. Quietly he walks along the banks of the stream that flows through the forested valleys, flowing through beautiful flower carpeted meadows soaking in a rainbow of reds and blues, pinks and yellows. As he stands beneath a tall pine, he see's her. A vision of her standing at the edge of the meadow. Her long dark, beautiful hair gently blowing in the breeze. He longs to reach for her. And as he watches she reaches out her arms, calling to him. He crosses the meadow to be with his City Girl. But then the vision begins to dissipate. The distance between them grows. She then turns away, with a tear in her eye, He knows she is going back to the bright city lights. While he stands alone among the tall jagged peaks, looking out across the shore of an alpine lake the fiery sunset reminds him of the fire in his heart. A fire that burns for the love of a beautiful City Girl. |
