Recently it occurred to me that while we all want companionship in our life and for the most part that is why we are on this site, how about in the interim perhaps starting a Forum that celebrates and embraces the good stuff about being single!?!

I thought that might be more therapeutic then willing to put up with all sorts of abuse and mistreatment just to avoid being lonely. Ha ha.

So what do you say... We start a party here celebrating being single and the joys that come of it!

being single has it attributes? what are they by the way.. except for the quiet times of reflection?.... I would rather have some one in my life to share all the good , bad and even ugly things..... isn't there some quote that says no man is an island unto himself?.

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. Not many here seem to be ok with being single .

Why not be happy with your self and being single first? It seems that lots of people seem to think that finding someone to date is automatically going to fix everything and make them happy.

I've become very comfortable being single

I too enjoy the freedom and lack of responsibility of being single.
I can have cheese and crackers for breakfast without getting smacked in the head.

I agree... if you don't enjoy your own company, either will anyone else. And if you can't entertain yourself, how can you entertain others.

But deep down inside, you know you want to be with me.

That line worked when I was younger

Being single sucks at times but it can be great too. I can wake up at noon, grab myself an apple and go do whatever I feel like without having a "schedule" to go by
