Topic: Why I Hate E-Harmony

Now yes, I'm married and you won't find me on a site
like E-Harmony but I gotta say that I hate that fuckin' site!
Especially their damn commercials.
They get peoples hopes up and
get people looking for someone "magical"
while the right person may be
right there in front of you.
Plus the creator of E-Harmony (who frequently appears
in the commercials) just look so smug, like he knows everything.
I wish Rick James were still alive so he good bitchslap
that motherfucker. I think that single people are taken
advantage of by websites that charge you money to meet people.
Half the damn profiles are probably fake!
You may not find "magic" here on this site but at least
it's free and there are cool people on here and I've
yet to meet any phonies.
Good luck with your searching and
have fun with it! Holding out for someone
"magical" can leave you with alot of
lonely nights.

siting. I been chatting with some guys as friends and probadly went on

I know it is. I chatted with couple guys from the same site and I ask
them if they knew other fellows on this site each, said no. But it seem
like they did know each other because of our conversations.

I think most pay dating sites are by nature kinda scammy. Do they
really want you to find love or do they just want you to keep paying
their crazy membership fees?

One guy who went on a Match.com date is now suing the company because
his date admitted that she worked for Match.com.

Another site is being sued because customers are claiming that they had
staff send people winks and emails to keep them on the site (and
continuing to pay)

According to eHarmony's stats, for everyone person that gets married,
999 do not. That's their own stats! They are also the most expensive.

You can read more about the dating industry at www.weattract.com. They
have a whitepaper all about it.

That's another reason we are different. We are free and we are building
things that we think will really help people find what they want. Our
motivations are 100% aligned with you. We wnt you to find someone, and
it's ok if you leave the site because we hope you will tell your friends
that our site really worked. Isn't that how it should be?

We think so.

LOL. Try Americansingles. It's the same, a scam. I've been on that site
for almost two months and I yet to meet one real person, othere then the
people in the board message room. They have a thing they call
click,flirts... I lost count of how many times I got a flirt or when
someone put that they click with me.LOL Anyhow I got to wait for my
account to expire. It was the first site I got on. (SUCKER) LOL

I signed onto a dating site the other day and had to go thru all of the
profile stuff. For my profile, I put that I would fill it in later.
Since I signed on, I keep getting advised that I have emails at the
site, but of course I have to PAY to read the emails. Some things are
better left unread I guess!

Vanchau,
I'm curious if you plan to keep this a free site and if so, how?
You've invested a lot in this so far and I'm sure at some point you
expect a return on that. Will that come from the users or advertisers or
what?

Usadad, I've been on sites like that but I got a IM from someone and was
able to find out That when they send a meesage like that. It's just them
saying hi. But acting like if it's your match so you would pay for the
site.I'm sure you know that. But, there are alot of people that get
sucked up in to that. And match.com they do the same thing. But they put
up like you have 10 messages LOL. So far this site and one other that
I've been on has been real fun. Kinda nice to talk to real people, well
at least I think real people. LOL

Half those sites are nothing but big rip off even though you have to pay
I don't yet I meet some really nice guys on them:) E-Harmony truly gets
on my nerves also the people on there look fake yet they try to pair
each with there own race so I take it the homeosexual can't join their
group and to join for $50.00 when other only charge 30.00 they are a
joke in my eyes I said my piece for today:)

Wow, that is so true! I could not have put it in better words myself.
And thanks. I am ingaged but wasn't always with someone. I've been
single and actually did pay once for one of those sites, but never met
"the one" on that site or any. I did although make a couple of nice
friends. But real and good partners are usually right in front of you.

Vanchau,

I couldn't agree more with everything you mentioned. I've tried many
sites shortly after my divorce.I said to myself, I'm not going to pay
but then they send you emails with these great looking women, profiles
etc...and that is what entices people to say the hell with it and pay
for a membership. Every time my gullible a$$ signed up for one of those
sites, I never would get another email from anyone whether it is a fake
person or a real people.

Some of those sites have the online porn girls who will flirt with you,
speak to you as if they're really interested and then send you a link to
check them out on another site and in order to do so, you have to pay to
become a member of that. Now that's where I drew the line. I already
paid once like a dumba$$, I'm not going to pay again just to see pics of
someone. Hell, you want me to see pics then email them to me...

I was a member at a site for a little while (paying member) and yes, it
is a bunch of $hit! Most that contacted me had a link to some other
paying crap for adults. If i wanted porno, I would not be paying for
membership. Well, needless to say, I requested a refund and got some of
it back!

I concur. I have had nothing but lousy results. Then again, I also had
lousy results with a local dating service. I think that e-Harmony is
the biggest purveyor of false hope and broken dreams on the planet. if
they think thier so good, why not put their money where their mouth is?
Offer the service for free and sell advertising to support your site.
Most E Business sites do just that.

I know of two other free sites, connectingsingles.com and
plentyoffish.com which I have met people for hikes and travel but they
are mostly dating sites but they are free. The members seems to be nice
people in the group chats.
