It depends upon where you are and what you want in going into a website dating arena. I've dated guys off the websites, some I like and some I don't but I have to discriminate upon their motivation and mine. You do have to feel an attraction to talk, hold hands and feel that you want to go further into a relationship. I let it drop when I still hear about "my ex" and my "ex wife" in usual and frequent conversation during a second or third date. Hearing about exes when we are involved in everyday conversation is not conducive to developing an "us". Someone has to be totally over it and moving on to meet "the one" and be forthcoming in their reason for being here. I don't think they're clear in their heads or they are trying to get over it.
Bottom line-if you're not over it or aren't moving in a distinct direction, see a therapist to find your way. The second website issue is without meeting someone and hearing a session for a therapist discussion, they bounce it off you. I'm not a therapist so I quit responding by the second email. Ciao. Adios. Bye Bye.
