Broken



Broken hearts or broken minds

Naked bodies limbs entwined

Seething emotions ebb and flow

Tides of trust come and go

Listless dreams and hopes ensue

Promises broken nothings true

swelling hearts and heaving breast

passionate moans faked at best

Spirits soar when white lies are spread

Truths then surface from beneath the dead

No longer loved cramped and cold

Anguish flares when the facts are told

No love was ever mine to hold

Just an illusion so I'm told

Alone I lay as does my kind

Broken hearts and twisted minds.
