Hm.
Perhaps you need a proper warmup. Jam packed with exercises and scales eh? I cant imagine throwing any of my guitars or instruments on the ground in frustration. You should steer clear of any jobs educating children. "READ DAM YOU READ!!" ![]() |

Hope it was soft ground. If I'm having trouble playing things that I'm used to playing, I'll usually just start messing around with something new. It happens to everyone.

I'd never throw my guitars on the ground, but I understand your frustration. I taught myself how to play the guitar almost 36 years ago, and some days, it just doesn't gel.......there are days when it seems like I don't even know how to play the damn thing............
........I just put it away, and say "another f*ckin' time......." |

my old teacher told me that whenever you get frustrated with your playing. to flip it over and try playing left handed and that will show you how far you have come

First off, NEVER take things out on your guitar. That goes double for something like a PRS, as they're some expensive guitars (unless you mean those Korean-made "SE" PRS's, which aren't nearly as expensive). So you don't wanna be out some serious cash because you wrecked your axe. As some of the other posts have said, the first thing you should do is warm up. All the pro players warm their fingers up via various stretching/fretting/picking exercises before they play, as it helps maintain accuracy when playing. That goes especially for the colder winter climates, too- you can't just pick up and start pickin' away when your hands are all frozen up. Playing slower at first will also help, as your hand-brain coordination won't strain to keep up with each other. |
