My Marine friend is a field sniper so he is right in the middle of it all. He has been over there three or four times. I was able to see him right after he came back the first time about 2 yrs back. He certainly seemed like a different person. They say war changes people and I believed it after I saw him. All he wanted was just some really good hugs and thats what I gave him. I miss him so much, but nothing I can do except pray for him to come home soon. |

The transition is very tough for many of our Soldiers and they don't always get the praise & accolades from nearly as many civilians as they should receive and many suffer terribly from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome |

He trains alot of the newbies that are going overseas. I always worry that someone isn't going to have the skill and the insight that he has. Scares the heck out of me. |

an email came my way...this is how it goes
HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY for Paul Harvey. I myself have been grumbling and wondering how a handful of people that have come to our country to get their freedom and have some rights, have been able to take our right to pray in public places away from us. So, agreeing with Paul, I GLADLY will forward this email AGAIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN. Folks, this is the Month that we RE-TAKE AMERICA ********* Get Ready ********* Keep this going around the globe ... Read it and forward every time you receive it. We can't give up on this issue. Paul Harvey and Prayer Paul Harvey says: This is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations. Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me. The silent majority has bee n silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want. It is time that the majority rules! It's time we tell them, You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN! God bless us one and all ... Especially those who worship Him , God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our military who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God. Let's make 2008 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions .. And our military forces come home from all the wars. Keep looking up. If you agree with this, please pass it on. |

tribute to all of our fallen that showed the most love of our country who paid the ultimate sacrifice
If you're reading this My Mommas sittin there Looks like I only got a one way ticket over here Sure wish I Could give you one more kiss And war was just a game we played when we were kids I'm laying down my gun I'm hanging up boots I'm up here with God and we're both watching over you [Chorus:] So lay me down In that open field out on the edge of town And know my soul Is where my momma always prayed That it would go And if you're reading this I'm already home If you're reading this Half way around the world I won’t be there To see the birth of our little girl I hope she looks like you I hope she fights like me Stand up for the innocent and weak I'm laying down my gun I'm hanging up boots Tell dad I don't regret that I followed in his shoes [Chorus] If you're reading this There’s going to come a day When you'll move on And find some one else And that's OK Just remember this I'm in a better place Where soldiers live in peace And angels sing amazing grace [Chorus] we may have lost you but youll never be forgotton may god watch over all of our military |
