I would agree that guys may freeze up and be afraid of the commitment. But another thing that needs to be considered, are the men that know what they want and are willing to commit, however the woman just isn't the one.. so that's why he left, not because he changed his mind, not because he doesn't know.. just because he wants a commitment doesn't mean he'll settle for the first one that comes along.... Interesting theory.

Please just tell me... cause I just don't get it... You tell your best friend that you love them... and they disappear... and your BFF has no clue what they want.. yet he can show affection but don't want anything more. Or there are the guys that say all they want is a hot @ss. If I was anorexic I would look like a freakin' barbie, but I don't. Plus I wouldn't want all the negative attention that comes with being 'skinny' And there are the descent guys... the ones that you think have potential. And you have nice wonderful amazing conversations with them and then after a while (a few days.. several email converastions) they disappear too! I have heard that if you can date a guy for a year without having sex with him, you are almost guaranteed to be married within 2 years. Or there is the taxi cab theory... (modified into my words) Guys going around screwing and trying to get into every and anything's pants. Until one day they turn on the for hire light and pick up the first gal that comes along.. and that is who they marry or get serious about. I just don't get it... PLEASE! Guys that are actually serious about have a relationship... what is the deal.. please explain this to me. You are beautiful and these guys are idiots if you ask me. And the negative attention that comes from being skinny is not at all flattering. At least you know the guy wants to be with you and isn't with you because he just wants you. Most of these guys do not take the time to discover if you are what they really want from the inside.

Now.....why can't men be like Mel Gibson in What Women Want? I would LOVE to have that power. There is a HUGE difference between slender and skinny (I hate that word, "skinny").

Thank you! But see that occurs with women with more weight too, we never know if a guy wants to truly be with us either, or just wants to have 'fun'.
