shrimp scampi is supposed to be buttery and garlicy. I picked up some ready made for lunch and it turns out to be very much on the cheese side.
Who likes scampi and how do you prefer it? |

first butterfly your shrimp
take a pie dish and melt a bunch of real butter in it then crush and mince several cloves of garlic (and a little bit of rosemary) open the shrimp and put em tails up in the garlic and butter and cook it in a HOT oven |

I've never had really cheesy scampi...it doesn't sound appetizing. Was it parmesan?

I make a mean fettucine shrimp alfredo, with a home made cheese sauce, which is pretty tasty.
I would prefer a garlic butter sauce for the scampi though. |
