LOL, they'll probably find a way to screw that up too!! Thank God, for the RED WINGS!! I am going to the Lions game on the 21st. I am going to carry a sign with me in case they have the lead late in the 4th quarter. The sign is going to say... " The Lions Can't Even Do 0-16 right??? " |

the thing is i don't see them being much better next year either. Well...the Dolphins managed to be a pretty good team after going 1-15 last season. The Lions owner is so inept, though, that I think it's probably going to be at least 3 years before they come even close to being a winning team. |

Maybe Ford should sell the team to help bail out his company, lol...(not that he'd get any offers, |

I have always been a lifelong Packer fan, but I have never had a problem with the Lions. They really are a hard-working team, they just never seem to get a break, poor bastards. I would MUCH rather see the Lions in 2nd place in the NFC North than either Chicago or Minnesota. Can't stand either of those two!

You know, the thing is even after a great start, like last year, (i think they were like 6-1, at the time) they went in the toilet the second half of the season and ended up 7-9, I think..It's like a curse with them or something..I've given up trying to figure them out, but I believe it begins with the ownership..I think to Ford, the Lions are not much more than a tax writeoff, jmo

Say what you will about the Lions. They still had one of the best running backs in the history of the NFL.

Say what you will about the Lions. They still had one of the best running backs in the history of the NFL. Who retired WELL before he should have because he was tired of losing and because the Ford's hired Bobby Ross as their head coach. He had NO real idea how to game plan around a guy like Barry Sanders. Ross kept trying to make him do things that he just wasn't good at. |

Gotta say, the Lions actually looked pretty good today, even though they still lost.
The 10 point difference in the final score doesn't really give an indication how close the game was. I really, honestly think that if Dan Orlovsky ( scoff if you will, but just look at his improvement before he got hurt ) hadn't broken his thumb, the Lions would probably have a couple of wins by now. |

Yep, I was surprised by their efforts today.........glad they didn't ruin the perfect O-fer season though,
