Two chords and growling doesn't really constitute as music. That's equivalent to rap. Try growling in different tones, for days and days on tour without losing you voice, and on top of that play those "two chords" in 16th count syncopated rhythm. Better yet, why not try actually playing something with a melody, and then try actually forming notes with your voice. I know, it's difficult and it really requires a thought process, but it can be done. |

Please tell me this isn't a real argument........... Modern metal plays on thrash rulz punk and metal. See tho I hate Punk, and modern metal relies more on punk than metal.. Shouldn't be called Nu Metal should be called Nu Punk Hell there is no mullets at metal concerts anymore. There are Mohawks!!!! and shaved heads its like punk failed so they jumped up using the metal name to try to "re-invent them selfs" |

I still think Slayer sucks and Winger and Megadeth are 2 of the best Metal Bands EVER! I shall kill you now. Listen, I grew up in the 80's, and I can tell you this much. You can say Slayer sucks, but Reign In Blood is the "ultimate" thrash album. It is the standard. Tons of music critics agree with this. That album changed thrash metal. Made it mainstream (or as close to mainstream as thrash would get). Winger???? Eh, they had some good sings and Kip Winger is a good basist. But, I have to disagree with them even remotely being a "good" band, let alone on of the best ever. |

But, I have to disagree with them even remotely being a "good" band, let alone on of the best ever. Actually...Winger was one of the most " talented " bands. The combination of musicians in that band was pretty much the ultimate at the time. The main problem I had with the band was the songwriting. Even for the " sex, drugs, and rock & roll " 80's, the songs were extremely cheesy. |

Damn....another band that I totally forgot about until earlier tonight at work.
Hardline. |

Winger's Hungry just had the coolest riff EVER! the way Reb went from Electrical to acoustic and back to Electrical. Also There version on Purple Haze was an awesome Metal version, and as for Reign of blood.....Na......Peace Sells & Killing is my Business and business is good, are far better albums.

Yes. Those are two very good albums. I just don't feel they are what Reign In Blood is. Just my opinion though.
You know what is hard to believe? That Whitesnake had John Sykes, Adrain Vandenburg, Vivian Campbell, and Steve Vai as guitarists. All of whom are very good, gifted guitarists. I realize that Vai would probably be considered as the best of the bunch. But all fo them were among the "who's who" or guitarists back then. |

Whitesnakes David Coverdale once said "I have sold 20 Million albums in the US alone, and I'm still not positive its because of my hair" :D
