If you borrowed money from Jack and he gave it to you...but, he did not tell you he needed you to pay him back the next day.
So the next day comes, so you borrowed money from Sally in order to pay back Jack. Sally wrote you a check , and the bank inadvertantly reversed the numbers and you had enough money to pay back jack and sally with a dollar left over......how much money did you borrow? |

The real solution lies in that you cashed a check on Sally's acount for an inaccurate amount. Despite that it wasn't your fault, are you not culpable for abuse of friendship and do you not now owe Sally yet even more money if you want to make amends?

it was an exercise on your thought process
how you think, deliberate and answer. what ever you thought... the answer is how you think in a given situation...whether it be in numbers, rationality, emotional or situational. |

now I can stop kicking myself as to why $25 - 52 doesn't fit |

The amount you borrowed is irrelavent. The bank will no doubt correct the error when it conducts an audit. What matters here is why one would rush to repay a favor by increasing your debt to others. In choosing to do so one has entrapped themselves in a more complicated situtation that will no doubt have negative consquences. Choices are not something you rush into.In reality the bank would correct the error and one would still end up in debt to sally for the original amount loaned. In the end you still have to answer for your choices and nobody gets a free ride. |

You took too much from Sally and you should go explain it to her, because due to the bank mess up, she got too much money drawn out of her account. Not to mention Jack didn't want you to pay it back right away so you taking advantage of Sally and you lost all your dignity and respect in my eyes. |
