I'm suprised nobody has mentioned "Grama's Boy". Do yourself a favor, buy/rent/net-flix that movie. You'll wet your pants, trust.

Cheech & Chong's "Up in Smoke" had to be the best "Stoner Flick" But Penn in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was the best character portrait: And Grandma's Boy was funnier than the above (Jay is right, it's hilarious!): but it was more of a Gaming movie (with a lot Stoner ties) Surprised nobody mention Beavis & Butthead Do America

I never thought of Heavy Metal as a stoner movie. But then, I was a major sci-fi fan and I snuck and watched it on cable, back before they changed the rating from X down to R. In fact, I was in 6th or 7th grade. I still always think of it in terms of the different types of science fiction the segments represented.

There are many great stoner flicks, but for me it's "How High." The combination of Method Man & Redman on film as two ghetto stoner homeboys attending Harvard is funny shtuff. What's your favorite stoner flicks, people?! Nothing can top the old Cheech and Chong moviesThose dudes were really getting stoned in their movies.
