" we are the ones that allow that to happen," exactly ! but why do we do that ? that is the million dollar question Unfortunately, for some of us, it is a way to feel accepted. For others, our hearts have a hard time so "No" to someone in need. For me it is both. And it was a very hard lesson to learn just how self-destructive that can be. It's something that I struggle with, along with being lonely. I actually stayed married a lot longer than I knew I should have because I was afraid of being alone; somedays its a lot harder than others, but at least I have discovered who my true friends are. |
