Hi Tracianne, it is unfortunate that you had to deal with a guy like that. You being a beautiful girl will probably deal with that more then once..I apoligize for him..not all men are like that. I think that is what is lacking in this internet age,class and integrity are not checked for before they get online, I mean people of all ages and shapes and personalities are just a click away, and you really don't know who or what they are over the net. You will have to develop thick skin of a sort, and be very careful. I have the opposite problem..hahaha getting someone to respond to me..but oh well, I'm still not jaded yet on the idea of finding someone!! Take care, I hope you have a better experience in the future. Damien

your first mistake was in replying to just any old nut case that emails you agreed... never even reply to someone who's opening line is "I'm horny" you already know right then and there he's not going to be a respectful good guy in his next reply.

I'm sure women get this a lot more than the men on here, but let's not be blind to the fact that this happens on both sides of the fence. I was amazed to find that there are a lot of women on here that will talk explicitly to a guy almost from the start. Maybe it's just that men don't take as much offense to it. I am one of those people that will respond to a message even if I am not interested just to be polite. If it continues I will not respond or even open the message. I also don't give out my personal email unless I am 100% positive it will be alright.

I truely try to respond to every single message that is sent. Even if I am not interested I will keep my reply brief and am grateful for the effort made on the part of the suitor. HOWEVER, when I get "those" kinds of messages....I get rude, and IGNORE them....you cannot teach someone to respect you. And obviously they dont if they are sending emails like that! Look at it this way, be grateful you know they are a jerk before you even have to say hello. This is exactly how I deal with my mail.

I am always surprised when someone reports that they get those types of emails. I 'speak' in my emails the same way I do as if we were in the same room. Maybe a bit more restrained, because of the limitations of the written word. Not every guy here is a disrespectful dirt bag. There are plenty of guys here that can carry on a decent email conversation. Good Luck.

ok so i just recently got an e mail from a man on here and never in my life have i been talked to so rudely all because i didnt feel like his comment of "hey im horny" was a great ice breaker. I explained to him that i had more respect for myself then to sit on the internet trying to help grown men relieve themselves!!!! He went nuts and said that mingle was a dating site not for little girls that just want to talk!! um im sorry isnt talking part of dating and when did it become ok to be so rude to someone you dont know??
