I have never had such a hard time finding a job. If anyone out there knows where i can apply and possibly get hired please, please, please, let me know. I have a background as a medical recruiter, sales, and am also a certified Medical Assistant. I live in the Phoenix area. HELP!!!!!!!

Scott;
I am an HR Mgr. in Michigan, and as we all know unemployment here is as bad or worse. I do know that anything in the Medical field is one of the best bets. In our area alone we are increaseing Medical institutions and hospitals. We have had construction going for a few years and expected for the next few years that has been classified as "The Medical Mile". With your background in the medical field you may have a better chance than many. I suggest you check with some medical afficiliates, etc. Good luck. bert3 |

Scott Healthcare is the 1 area where we've actually seen job growth over the last year. I'm surprised that you're having trouble. Have you checked all the area hospitals? I don't know what salary range you're looking for, but with your background, you could probably finish a coding certificate program pretty quickly. Coding is a good field & with everyone going electronic, you could live in Phoenix & work pretty much anywhere as a remote coder. Note coding in a hospital setting is a whole different thing than for an MDs office, both in terms of entry qualifications & salary. You can check out the salary ranges at www.ahima.org. You can find out about our program which is all offered on-line at www.pccc.edu if you're interested. Search for the health information technology program & you'll see a 1 year certificate program as well as a 2 year AA program. If you have any questions, you can email me. Good luck. |

Hey Bert thanks bud, i have sent my resume into most of the medical institutions here in the Phoenix area, i get the sneaky suspicion that they will not be hiring until the begining of the year. Its gonna be a LEAN CHRISTMAS LOL. Guess the kids will just have to deal with dad baking cookies thats pretty scary LOL.

Cookies from dad is not all bad. Having dad spend time with them is the most important. I hope things turn around for you quickly. Have a good Christmas despite you current employment status.
