Sheila -- I just don't worry about stuff like that. If I want to talk
about llamas, I just do it. If I want to talk about something serious, I just do that. People are going to think whatever they're going to think, and I'm not particularly interested in making an impression, per se. If they like what I post, fine, that's a bonus because maybe it leads to some more communication and some new friends, but I'm not about to change what I write or how I write it just because someone might not like it or understand it. |

I agree with many of the opinions expressed.
I recognize the limitations of this 2D format. We miss much of the conversation without tone and inflection and intention. All we have to go on is the words. Of course people will form opinions about me based upon what I write here. In many cases it is all we have to go on. I can be mindful and choose my words but I cannot predict how everyone else will interpret them. We all come with our sets of filters and belief systems and experiences which guide our own interpretation. I saw a book title once ... 'What You Think Of Me Is None Of My Business'. If we believe our own press then we have to believe the good as well as the bad. People's perceptions are just that - theirs. So I write with the hope that my intentions are understood...or if they are not that clarity is requested. |

i would have to say that i am the same person here as i am in real
life... i guess that i am really playful here... but i am in real life as well... just not as often because day to day, i have reality to deal with such as work, kids, family... that kind of thing. |

do you care what words you choose when posting are going to be judged as to the content of your character? _____________________________________________________ would be a waste of time to read it if they don't would it not just a thought but hey what do i know |

I can be a bit#ch on the outside but mostly I am a good humored soul
which is reflected in my posts.People are always judging ,some less harshly than others.F@#$k em .I can only be me,as for the rest of the personalities in my body well they will have to come forth and speak for themselves. |

Lex, trust me. I do NOT worry about whether or not someone likes what I
have to say (and oftentimes because of "constraints" I've had to curb what I'd REALLY say)... And I'm not talking about worrying about being an individual...I don't change a THING about what I say because I'm worried about what someone else might think...ask anyone who knows me. LOL. The last person I'd get a bad impression of on this site would be you. Llamas and all. You've always conducted yourself like a gentleman, pretty much, if memory serves. I was hoping to not have to write a book explaining myself here..but...won't be the first time.. I'm talking about conducting one self in such a way that someone doesn't sit here and shake their head and go..man, he's a "jerk"..or she's "trashy" or ...he's abusive... women...or she's this or that or he's that or this...you know? I've seen posts in some forums on some places, thinking ...good lord in heaven..."look what the cat drug in." and in general it's great to be yourself but ...I guess people who don't "curb their conduct" don't worry about it cuz they'll find someone who doesn't curb thier conduct too and voila! match made in heaven! |

I am the same online and in person. My brain fires in multiple
directions at once. My mindfulness about word choice is about trying to be clear. If I have an opinion, popular or otherwise, I will share it. |

yup
and i do believe your "self description" was quite accurate
I like to think I am on here as I am in real life. I joke, I laugh, I
argue, I feel. Nuff said |
For clarification, who is your comment addressed to, BigP? Me or
Artgurl? thanks |
the "yup" was ,,artgurl the "self desription" was for you you have a
grasp of self ,,,i believe |
oh thanks for clarifying
but have to point out, as stated in the profile..it's not a "self" description..meaning, I didn't write it...but...it is a description of myself. And I was even surprised at how accurate it is! It was fun doing the survey. www.brainbench.com personality inventory, if anyone wants to try it. I think they still do it on that site, and it's free. |
