We all much too often take for granted the things we enjoy,ie: air conditioning, running water, vaccinations, coffee and tea, the Internet, the list goes on forever it seems. May we all start setting aside a moment of silence in respect and thought of those in the world who do not have them!

As a former Red Cross worker I reflect on this very much. I have met those who are not as fortunate and will always have them in my heart.

Good post martymark:smile:

I think of that often Marty, I have also though for many years now about my own footprint on this earth, and have learned to live extremely frugal. It's a good education and it humbles you in times like this when you know that so many people have so much less than even those who 'choose' to have no more than is nessessary to live in relative comfort. I hope that made sense, my brain is lagging behind this morning.

perfectly good sense, you got it! Pray for the ones who don't, that they will! Maybe we could all have what we need, instead of a few having more than they could ever consume!
