Topic: work looking for somewhere to go...

thinking about paciking it up . I have a part time job.. living off savings and need to provide for my self any suggestions? My son is 22 and applied for 20 jobs in one week no call and i thought it was my age? I have pt time job need full time is the economy good any where? if so let me know?

The St. Louis area's unemployment rate just rose to 6.9%. It was 4.4% last year.

I know the pain Buttons. One decent job I applied for had over 200 applications! Eccept at the fertilizer plant. Most have between 10-20+ applications per positition.

Right now, jobs are terribly hard to find. Even the areas that haven't be hit too hard by the economy issues and haven't had a lot of layoffs. They have had hiring freezes. And about the only things available right now are fast food and waitressing. It's pretty bleak out there.

our unemployment rate is at 2% ,but they have a need for over 1200 employees within the next few months..... our city has been holding job fairs in other states to bring people in......

The only statistics I can find on Oregon is for October.. It said 7.3% and that it was only second to Alaska. I also read that 24,200 Oregonians lost their job to this date for this year.. Horrible much more to come in January! Ps. Polson I checked South Dakota weather.. I'ts only 19 degrees there now with snow... It would be awefully hard to sleep under a bridge there

thinking i would not do to well there.. when the snow starts falling here i freak out!! and i dont want to drive in it even when its not sticking for fear that when i leave where ever i go ill be stuck!
