as far as your question goes, the only answere I can give is that it probobly depends on whether they apply their religion to themselves, or try to apply it to others with force of some type...many ways of doing this...the most common is probably attacking people who do not believe like they have been taught to believe.

Teach Your Children by Graham Nash You, who are on the road Must have a code That you can live by. And so, become yourself Because the past Is just a goodbye. Teach your children well Their father's hell Did slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they picks The one you'll know by. Don't you ever ask them why If they told you, you would die So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. And you (Can you hear and) Of tender years (Do you care and) Can't know the fears (Can you see we) That your elders grew by (Must be free to) And so please help (Teach your children) Them with your youth (You believe and) They seek the truth (Make a world that) Before they can die (We can live in) Teach your parents well Their children’s hell Will slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they picks The one you’ll know by. Don’t you ever ask them why If they told you, you would cry So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. |

Well do you believe that people are nicer because of religion or no? What I find to be incredibly ironic is that the religion that has a God who asks people not to judge others also has the most judgmental bigoted followers of any religion known to mankind. I believe the some religions are a true cancer to the human spirit. Especially those religions that are constantly proselytizing that their bigoted belief system is the only way to get to God. The people who have been infected by those religions truly aren't nice people despite the 'artsy romantic front' they try to put up. A mask of pretentious righteousness can't hide the ugly face bigoty and prejudice. |

most people suck regardless. I am always honest. and i do formulate opinions about things.
its something that has to be done to function in today's society. too many mean harmful people out there. you have to develop tough skin. if you went through your day giving everybody the shirt offa your back...you'd end up naked and homeless. does religion make me MEAN? i dont think so. the world makes me a bit mean though. |
