When you couldn't keep up with the threads... And people were happy to see you online... When there was stupid and serious topics in abundance... When there was more of a family attitude... When everyone was here (there are a lot of good people missing)... 
The thing is in flux -- always moving, always changing. The hope is -- that it's always growing. A stagnant site is a dead site. True, we have lost some great ones. But some new great ones have arrived to fill some of those vacancies. Not to "replace" the missing, but to give us new thoughts and ideas and perspectives to work with. Stupid topics and serious topics have always been here. The ratio changes. I have a theory about a gradually declining LCD, but it's only a theory -- so far. "When people were happy to see you online" -- there's no universal. Some will be happy, some won't. Some won't care either way, or even know who we are. It shouldn't matter, until there's interaction. "Family attitude"? I've never seen a decline in that here. The attitude itself persists, even when some of the "family members" have departed. It's a big family, and it's still growing. For me, personally, the hope is that someday, there will be enough growth here so that all of us who are looking can actually have a chance to find someone. Ah Lex! Shut up! And have a beer!

There are some interesting topics. And lots of good people here. Some people I really enjoy talking to. So, no. If you don't like the topics, make better ones .
