call your local blood bank. You don't get paid for donating blood but I THINK you get paid for giving plasma but I'm not sure- they might be able to answer that question for you.

It's illegal to be paid for donating blood. You can contact the American Red Cross or a local blood center in your area. At one time, you could be paid for donating plasma but I'm not sure it's still legal, I would check your local laws to be sure.
Normally, one donates a pint of whole red blood cells. When donating plasma, the red blood cells are returned to the donor via the infusion site. Again, check the local laws and procedures for donation of blood and plasma. |

Selling you plasma is usually around 30 for 1st time and 20 each time after. For the risk it's really not worth it. Wait til it snows and shovel for some cash ![]() |

In my town, when I donate blood they usually give t-shirts and coupons for free pizzas at dominos or some other resturant.

When giving plasma, they take your blood, filter the plasma, and replace the blood. Which means to me that it's two needles instead of one, unless I just don't get it.
Around here they incent you to go the first time by paying a much larger amount ... seems like it was close to $100, but then less the next time, a little more the third time, a little less the next. |
