I am in NY and my family is in Louisiana. The couple friends I do have in the area went home for Thanksgiving. Anyone else doing nothing and spending Thanksgiving alone?

I am. My family is spread out, far away from me, and this is the first year I'll spend it alone.

I am blessed this year and will preoccupy myself fixing a ham for my kiddo, brother, his wife & 2 kids. I'm sorry, I know how odd these holidays can be with no family or friends around!!! If I could, I'd transport you here and overstuff you with ham and all the trimmings!!!

not alone, but not the usual company...usually my aunt comes over with her family but there year they went over to her daughters house..so it just my fam

No turkey until Saturday! My daughter has to work, but I will have my grand kids, so I won't be alone. I'll be pulling my hair out!!!
Do they have community dinners in NY? All kinds of folks go to the ones here!

I get no turkey at all
 My family also has shrimp gumbo and I don't get any of that either. Plus its the last Thanksgiving in my grandmothers house because she is selling it.
