Going on here... We have at least one local Gas Station selling regular gas for $1.25/gal...
Methinks prices could have been cheaper all along.... |

I've seen a few place's go up to 1.65. While other's are at 1.47.

The one next to my apartment complex is $1.89 but if you go out of my county, it's down to about $1.65. I can't remember the last time prices were this low. I don't trust it, they'll go up like a rocket soon enough. But, I take advantage while I can

Yeah, pretty weird that it started going down right after election day.

yes but have you noticed the price of Diesel is still sky high? Why would this be except for the oil companies sticking it to the truckers and trucking companies?

It's been going down where I am for quite awhile now.

Ours started going down a couple weeks before the election. I'm just amazed they can drop so far, so fast. But they went up that way and probably will again.

Well, election day in in Nov. Gas always gets cheaper in the Fall/Winter. Plus, over the past year demand has fallen because of high prices. Opec can't sell oil for what it did 6 months ago. Better enjoy it while you can.

Yeah, pretty weird that it started going down right after election day. Not really. Bush and his boys made so much money. The gig was up |

That is where all the money went. And their not spending it.

I KNOW it's all been a sham. Inflated all along. And, when I was in banking, I had to review financials, items such as "cost of goods sold". For the gas stations, there was consistently a 100% markup between COGS and sale price. So, if a gallon was sold at $1.00, the owners COGS was 50 cents for that gallon. I couldn't know the current profit margin since I'm not into that anymore, but reviewing financials in a LOT of industries was a REAL EYE OPENER!!!

That is where all the money went. And their not spending it. Exactly right |

I still struggle with the fact that speculation on demand has more impact than actual demand.

The oil companies had litte incentive to try to get gas prices down. 20% of $2/gal is always less than 20% of $4/gal. They're going to take their same percent no matter what. |

Every two weeks I put $40.00 in my minivan tank.....it NEVER fills it.
Yesterday I was pumping gas and it stopped at $33.42! I managed to get it up to $34.00. I almost fell over from shock of it being full because my tank was on empty!! |

lowest price I have seen here so far is $1.63 a gallon.

$21.00 filled up my car last night. It used to take close to $45.00.

Why has the price of diesel fuel not gone down as well?
