Apparently it hasn't hit NC. We're colder much earlier then normal for this time of year! I feel for those who are having to trade off necessities to stay warm, some aren't! Food shelters are still running bare, NC has lost over 50,000 jobs this year alone. 400 yesterday from a furniture factory closing. Oh, that is so awful.  I heard a doctor the other day talking about the increased number of people coming into ER's due to stress related problems. the stress is financial stress. I hope the suicide rate does not go up over normal this holiday season.

One 90 yr old lady tried to, the bank was foreclosing, she shot herself twice but it didn't kill her. AFTER that the bank decided to forego her mortgage, like she can recover fully! |
