I myself always got a kick out of it just watching how people are..not what was happening but for the fact it was happening at all Also the things people do to get attention and how important it is for them to have all the attention humans are something else

this is online so people tend to be a bit bolder than in a face to face meeting. Evrything I do here is for fun and put in perspective. |

I would have to say one of the reasons that some people...like myself...have come and gone is just the reasons mentioned. The threads are so overdone and most are the kind of minless dribble that sounds like junior high. Then when there is a topic that stimulates thoughtful discussion...some dumba$$ comes in an disrupts the flow by going "OFF TOPIC" or just plain hijacking the thread...or simply turning it into a potty mouth fest. Then of course there are the mutual admiration "cliques" who are all kissy-kissy with each other and anybody who doesn't play that BS is verbally gang raped in the forums...but if you return fire with a sarcastic, witty, intellectually funny remark...they run crying foul to the mods. This site doesn't so much need to GROW as it needs to GROW-UP. I have to agree with this. But I do say there are some wonderful people here too more so than other places . This is what I stay for

I've been on a few forums before this and it's funny how universal they all are. It just shows that people are the same all over
Even the "oldtimer" threads complaining about the new people have been done over and over as much as the "nice guy" threads There are just times when everything falls together in a magical kind of way. You can't repeat those times or get them back. They just happen and then they are gone. What you have to do is be ready for the next magical time |

Without Prejudice I get all of the educational stimulus I need from my place of work, the University I attend,the friends I am surrounded by in real life and those I have made friends with here on this site. There is only so much you can discuss the falling £, the general election, Alastair Darling bailing the banks out etc,etc. I now come here for fun and relaxation. |
