I understand what you are saying Miles.I would go even further with it myself.I believe that what a lot of people are calling God is actually Satan and what they are calling Satan is G-d.If Satan is the God of the Earth (which he is), then when (self described) Christians say "God is in control", then they are actually saying "Satan is in control".This is not the One True G-Ds world and HE is NOT in control of it.A true follower of the One True G-D should seek to be saved FROM this world,not saved IN this world.There is a TRUE G-D in Heaven and a False God of the Earth.So, when they say "One Nation Under God", what god are they referring to? okay darling. I wasnt meaning it as an attack on anyones patriotism. It was just an example of a "god" reference that I cited. I think that most of mankind has the two "gods" confused. I dont think its enough just to say things that make a person feel good. Yeah, It feels good to say "God is in control" and "In God we trust" but Im not sure its the truth. Seems somewhat contradictory to say "In God We Trust" on money (which is an instrument of evil). I dont trust Mammon.
