I'm pretty new here too, but already have found a few posters that I don't run to as fast to check out. But even if you don't like the OP or any poster, there are always still cool people here.

it would be interesting if we could rate each others posts and if users below a certain rating were not allowed to post for a certain amount of time. But who would be the ones doing the rating?? I don't think there is any way you could find enough impartial people to make it a fair assessment of the worthiness of people's posts. we would rate other users. Say anyone with at least 500 posts. And maybe...on a 1-10 scale. And...you can only vote 1 five times per week. ((((Indn)))) how ya be chickadee? |

open a thread, read through the responses, see a post from someone you're not fond of and decide to avoid the thread altogether just because they've posted? Nope!!

Too many people with too many friends who would rate a post at a 10 even if it was something completely inane. Or if that particular post was berating someone else, then it would be nothing more than a popularity contest. If you have enough friends ( are popular enough ) then no matter how many 1 ratings you got, there would be enough 10's to outweigh it. |
