I happened to see your post and felt a need to reply. I would not say you're a bad looking guy. But with saying that you need to take this into consideration. This is a dating site, "site/sight" being the operative word here. When women and men are looking at profiles they are not sitting in front of the person learning their personality, they are flipping through profiles looking at pictures first, therefore visual first impressions are what make an impact. Is that shallow, in a real world setting yes, but this is the cyber world and in cyberland everything is visually based first. So with saying that here are a few suggestions to you and to all guys who may read this..... You want to grab the womans attention and for most women seeing a man who is dressed decent is one of the first things that catch our eyes, you don't have to be in a 3 piece suit but rather casual dress clothes are nice or even a nice pair of jeans and a clean pull over or sporty sweatshirt is good too. If the pictures you have posted show you in stained, old, torn up shirts, or hunting clothing after you've just offed Bambi, that is going to be an instant turn off for most women. Good hygiene and grooming is the next thing that catches our eye. So make sure you post a picture of yourself without hat hair or bed head. A good haircut/style will do wonders for a guys appearance and NO COMBOVERS are ever ok, if you're thinning on top then trim all your hair down to even it out. If you're not trying to grow a beard then make sure the picture you have up shows that you do know how to use a razor or trimmers. If you wear contacts, then don't have all your pictures posted with you in your glasses, we like to see your eyes as they are the next thing that that attracts most women. Glasses can be very attractive on a man you just want to make sure that the ones you wear didn't go out of style in 1970. And finally....SMILE!! A smile says so much about a person, a smile is inviting, it says "Hi, come talk to me"! Good luck in your search for true love, its out there for you somewhere! :) Wow TammyJo71. This was your first post on the forums and it's a great one. I am going to quote it so the guys see it again. I agree with her. On a dating site it's HOW you present what you have more than WHAT you actually have. I get too many messages from guys that look like they didn't even try looking nice for their pictures. I even get messages from guys wearing their pants so they are showing their underwear (mostly from my age group). Present yourself well.....it matters. |

It isn't my place to judge since I don't know you personally... But I agree with MindyMindy...Confidence in a manis attractive. noway woman would want a self conscious guy nor a self centered one either. If people say ur attractive go with it and say, " Thank you."smile Hey could you point me to the manis store? jk I have no problem with the fact that I am a total badass. It's just teh fact that every female in my life past or present has never given me any sort of credit for my looks or accomplishments. I grew up like that unfortunately. Even to this day I can shred on guitar and my family not once has even so much as asked how it was going or if I had wrote anything. I'm not out to please people but I would expect more from a family/girlfriend. P.S. Theres no way in hell im giving up on women though, way to perfect for me to ride the pine and wait. On top of that I am a VERY sexually active partner so maybe too much sex ran all my old ladies away haha. |

I think you are handsome. But you asked for honesty. Looks aren't everything mind you. If you find the right girl, she will love you for all that you are. But in this day and age men and women alike don't just look at the face but the body. If they see a woman or a man(and this isnt everybody) who doesnt take care of themselves, how are they to take of the other person. maybe if you put up some full body pics, in a nice pair of jeans and a button down shirt or something.. the ones you have up make you look like a trucker. if your looking for the right one like i said .. she will love you no matter what but if your lookin to find her on here.. put up some better pics. maybe add more to your profile. i hope i didnt offend you but i am one of those who likes to give my opinion.. have a nice day and good luck. You think the hockey gear helps? |

You're a handsome guy. Wear what you want, dress how you want. You'll attract the kind of woman YOU want by being yourself. And for gosh sakes, quit asking if your cute......who cares what we think? Good Luck and go get em!

I am going to preface this with you asked for honest feed back and that is not always easy to hear everything. I am going to start with your strengths because you do have some. Really a remarkable amount.
Your height and body structure is normal even though you could loose probably fifty pounds. (That is only a pound a week if you just set your mind to it you could easily do it in a year.) If you need tips write me and I will be glad to give you doable ideas and support. Your features are masculine and semetrical. You have really good overall face. Great jaw line and chin. Your ears are good porportion and set in the side of your face well. Your neck is not real long but with weight loss it will appear longer. My guess is you have a heavy beard but that is not a problem if you shave and use an exfoliant. You appear to have fantastic skin and coloring that many men would die for. You really would benifit from someone telling you what colors you could wear to make that pop. You have knock dead eyes. I don't know that the glasses are the most flattering porportion or style; kind of have a Santa Claus theme going on that is amplifying your weight. But like so many guys it doesn't appear you have dark circles, or acne problems, or scars. LUCKY YOU! If you spring for a nice shirt and professional photos that don't glare on the glass your responses will double on that alone. And guy; count your blessings shoulders that a woman would swoon over if you replaced mass with muscle. I can't tell about your lower body because it isn't all that evident in your pictures but I assume you have good posture from the one picture. And relatively straight legs. In a picture you can't tell alot about grace but you might want to think about position when someone is taking your picture. Slouching back in a recliner is passive; be active lean forward, wave, offer a toast, and SMILE!!! I don't think your pictures are that complimentary. BDU is fine if you want to hunt pheasant, deer, or guys to hang out with but not a lot of women are going to consider that high on their list. Gun photos will make your responses drop off radically. Overalls? Honey they were a short lived fad 30 years ago. They make you look huge. If you are out in the shop, garden, or someplace they are approriate that makes sense but you might want to pick photo's that catch you in something flattering. Underwear wheather it is t-shirts or thermals is not the best to be photographed in. I understand short hair is a low maintenace style but you might want to think of something that flatters your face. It doesn't have to be long but work with a good stylist for something that looks like you spend a little on your appearance. If you don't on yours women can pretty well conclude you won't allow them to spend any on theirs. You are probably not going to like this but face hair is NOT something that most women find attractive. The proof is in the result. Go to a bar or mall or any place single people are. How many of the guys who are single and getting action have whiskers. Yea guys with wives but not single guys. Yours is trimmed nicely in your photos but it doesn't matter. Many women don't want to kiss whiskers. They don't want whiskers rubbed on their face, body, or private parts because it is abrasive. If you have to have wiskers to be yourself then you have to accept the consequences. You have to keep in mind what else is in your pictures. Is it appeeling or does it suggest a sloppy, sedentary, depressing lifestyle? You haven't asked for comments on your profile but you could be knock dead georgeous and the text will shoot you down. And it is not because I think you are a bad guy. It how you present the information. Sorry would like to give you a pass because I know you are trying but this is hurting you. Try again and it will get better. |

ya got to be careful of these..."what do ya think of me" posts because
there some kind people out there, and there are some not so kind people out there. what exactly r u looking for in a woman...an elk hunter type? find a forum u like, and then do some small time chit chat..why not a hunting forum...what do u hunt? say elk for instance...does anyone know anything about roosevelt elk which are all over the place...? or some such question. i have been burned at the stake on this site, and then again, i have some loyal followers. well, i guess i never asked them if they liked my looks or not. i just assumed they didn't and said who the hell cares what i look like. it is my heart that counts. what does your heart look like? |
