Topic: What do you believe to be true | |
---|---|
The only thing I can really tell is that Jesus did walk the earth. He was a rebel, he spoke out against the establishment, and he died an unnatural death. He can be compared to the likes of Marin Luther King, or Malcom X in modern times. A preacher who rose to a prominent position through his discussion of the injustice of the current system.
Now, Jesus was taking on big government and religion at the same time. What this tells me is he was firm in his belief. His belief that God was found in your heart, internally. That inner peace leads down the path or righteousness. That if a man is at peace with himself, he will be at peace with others. This is what is pleasing before God. It is through actions like this, that you will enter heaven. Me, I try to live by Jesus' example the best I can. Treat people well, be polite, pray a little and hold no malice. It's not the best of religions I guess, but it's something I'm comfortable with. |
