It's been a very stressful few weeks. It's hard enough to deal with parents old age but even more difficult when they are far away.

My mom has been through a very difficult time with losing her friend who was admitted into a nursing home & her greedy family who are unco-operative & sneaky.

It's a miracle that my mom even came back up to stay for what she thinks is for the holidays. She was admitted into the hospital here for a number of issues. She had a complete work up & they are regulating all her meds & probly putting her on an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med.

I saw her tonight & she is in so much better a state of mind than she's been. We found a senior day care so she will be active during the day while we work & with the holidays coming there is plenty of parties, galas & local holiday shows to take her to.

Just spending some quality time with mom & there is nothing like the "mom" touch. You're never too old for that! drinker  drinker

I wonder how others fair with dealing with these sort of things?
