I recently met a girl online here. She is close to where i live and things seem really good.
She and i have been talking on the phone and ive seen a pic of her. She also gave me her school email address to prove she is a student where she says she attends. I believe everything she says bc stories and her telling me things match up. Theres no intuition about her lying. She has already told me she likes me and that makes me happy.
But some stories are scaring me into the fact i havent met her and online dating can be bad! i just dont know if i should ignore that and stay with how i feel? Any advice? This would be my first time meeting any girl online.

What are you waiting for? Give her a chance and if it don't work out you're no worse off than you are now.

My advice is go get her brother. I've met lotsa' people and, so far, no horror stories.

What do you have to lose? She lives nearby and it won't even cost you anything to go find out if she's the real deal.

just to let you know.... I met my bf online.. it wasnt a dating site <never had looked at those back then> but it was a local chat room. We had broken up for a yr and half thats why i joined this besides the fact my brother invited me to join <hes no longer here..> long story short I'm back together with him after that yr and half.. i think that is pretty successful since that was june 28 2003 - 1 1/2 yrs

Well, as most ppl on here know, my boyfriend of 1 yr n half started off as an online friend....we met and fell in love, and the rest is history.

Things can work out, but not all the time. I did meet 2 other guys before Dan, from online, but honestly, as much as i cared for them online, in RL, i just didnt feel the chemistry.

I think in order to be sure, u really do have to meet.

It helps when u cam for a while as well, that way u see reactions/expressions etc and at the same time, gives u a real proper look at the person without it bein a flat image.

Oh I've got some horror stories for your though , seriously i do but ive met maybe 100 people from online female and male and not all in a one on one but groups still there were id say 3 rotton apples outta that .. I'm sure no different as I've encountered <not online>.

Good God man, what the hell are you waiting for??? I mean let's say, worse case scenerio, you go to meet her and she turns out to be a 63 year old german man. You still got out of the house and had something to do, so your a winner!!! That's the absolute worse that could happen, so you know it's gotta be pretty good.

Think of how she feels. The women and the ones that have to usually worry about weirdos.
