Topic: Childrens pictures on Mingle?

I know everyone is proud of their children, I have two myself, but could someone help me understand why people would put pictures of their kids up on this site? I understand keeping them private and then showing to your friends but why put them in as public? Just curious??

Personally, I think it's a very bad idea. And because I don't even believe I have to explain why, it is even more perplexing why someone would do it.....unless, of course, they are very naive. But let's forget for a moment the whole "lurking pedophile" factor. What other reason would a person have to post pictures of their children on a grown-up dating site? It's just....well, I just don't get it.

I agree that Kids should be kept off the site, and shared with only those you trust. As parents we should all want to protect any kid, not just our own

it's a bad idea. For every thread there are lot's of people reading it that never post anything. As of right now this thread has 9 replies and 70 views. When you put up pictures of your kids you don't know what weirdos are perving over your kids

You do know that a picture of a child is just that right? A picture. A pedophile can get a picture of a child anywhere. Having a picture of your little one up is NOT going to invite any unwanted guess into your home. YOU have the responsibility as a parent to screen each and every individual that walks into your child's life. I REALLY do not think anybody is going to be coming into my computer monitor and attacking anybody that lives in my home.

I do not have pictures of my son here, the child on the site pics is my nephew and is posted with my sister's permission. He is young enough where it's not really an issue, anyhow. But no one is going to right click on photos of MY son.... no thank you. I'm not giving away images of my innocent kiddo.
